Funny enough I have the same problem. Two PC15000's with the starter/main battery not being able to hold its charge for long(1 week max.). Thankfully the aux. one steps in when needed! Tried reconditioning it with a ctek but no joy. The genuine LR one that the Defender Came with is over 7 years old and fitted to a Fordson Major is still showing maximum hold! |
Are the NUMAX the same size as the ODYSSEY? Fitting 2 X PC1500 in. That is some going. I think I have 2X 1200(?) and that was a squeeze in the PUMA.
Just been and checked the 110. Felt it strange that I had PC1200's and everyone else running 1500. I have 2 X 1500, which was a bit of relief 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |

Used 2 yellow tops and red top in my old 300 setup, mainly because I could fit all 3 in seat box. At the start would run fridge for 3 days but wasn't long before performance dropped off. Currently have one Bison auxiliary and solar panel, worked well on Balkans tour last year but did get sun most days.

I swapped my two PC1500s out after they stopped holding charge when about 4 years old.
I put 2 Exide Maxxima 900DC (New Part Number EP450) in. They fit in the same space (D44 holder) and have been faultless. I wad recommended them by a mate who has had them in his challenge truck for many years without issue. |

As most have said the second battery is for the accessories winch fridge etc. You need to have an isolation i.e. Split charge between the two batteries this allows aux battery to drain down without draining the starting car battery. |
