Alternator B+ stud. (With pictures.)
Today I had to do a little work on mine adding my third and final power feed directly Alternator fed.

Whilst I was at it I took some pics for those of you who are interested. Mine is a Puma and the Torque for the nut is 8NM.

However, I couldn't get my torque wrench on it, so long as you don't over tighten you will be fine.

Access is easier with the hose in the vicinity took off, pulled to the side and a glove over it to keep the inside clean.

It's also worth checking, that the hose once refitted is all the way up and there's is no rubbing on the steering column underneath. Idea Exclamation

This is worthwhile checking regardless.

Here is the hose removed (just behind airbox pipe):

The alternator stud viewed from drivers side wing area.
It has a plastic / rubber cap on it, that just pulls on or off, obviously here I removed it and also a stray ring terminal I had not yet put on.

It goes without saying, make sure you disconnect the battery before doing any work on it.
And any connections made should be fused in-line.

I have my headlights, and two light bars directly fed from mine.

I thought this thread maybe useful to others for winch installs, spotlights / light bars and headlight looms etc.

Thank you Steve - that's very helpful as I am about to install a relayed headlamp loom myself.

Of course I now wish i'd done it when I was fitting the new Nugget air intake piping but isn't that always the way.

Top Man! Thumbs Up
