Apologies for this rather daft question, but does anyone know what the 'standard' spec for the cd/radio on a 07 XS station wagon is, specifically can I plug my iPlod into it, and has the sound improved since my las XS of 10 years ago ?
If it will mate with the Ipod I will take it with me on Saturday when i goto collect my new toy! Regards to all Kez |

An often overlooked job - chosing the first CD / playlist to listen to whilst driving a new car home! Don't forget your double-ended 3.5mm lead! Peter 2008 SWB Truck Cab 1952 80" Soft top |

Nice one! I really didn't want to change the look of the stock dash but the sound was so horrible, I had to. So, I just finished changing mine for an Alpine CDE-126BT which is a marked improvement. Changed all the speakers for Alpines too and added the Clarion subwoofer from the SVX. Pete |

Pete - where did you put the sub? I definitely needs one.
BM has one under each front seat so bass is very good but it bizarrely lack any tweeters! Many do an Alpine upgrade - always used Alpine when upgrading ICE. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

OK. So here's the head unit with the built in Parrot microphone mounted on top of the dash:

Thanks. I hate untidy wiring. It's one of my pet hates!
