[For Sale] 90 Project For Sale :( with more photos
Morning All,

My better side has managed to (force) convince me that the project should go and the money go towards a running vehicle, I managed to convince her that vehicle will be another 90 Thumbs Up
Since I started I have changed industry, had another kid (3 in total now) moved house along with 2 horses the list goes on and I just don't have the time to get onto it.

So I thought I would post it here and see if anybody is interested.

Its a D reg but barely anything is original, I'll start with a list of main Items but essentially all is there to finish it, however I will be holding onto a few things which I think will benefit the new defender when I get it.

So..
TD5 Chassis modified to fit a 200tdi (non galv but has been thoroughly cleaned, red oxide'd and painted with Chassis back looks like new with no rust at all completely smooth all over!
TD5 Fuel tank (between the rear rails with sender and pipes to the engine.
TD5 Bulkhead in incredible condition, no corrosion whatsoever
TD5 Full Dashboard with colour coded centre console TD5 Steering wheel etc
Discovery 24 Spline axles (Discs front and rear)
2" Lift Kit with dislocation cones
TD5 Tub to accommodate the fuel tank filler etc
Masai Side (sliding) Panoramic Windows all fitted and look great
Old style roof (with ribs) non Alpine windows but fully re-sprayed
Heated Windscreen just needs a wiring kit which are cheap.
TD5 Seatbox perfect condition, battery box has been red oxide'd
LT77 Gearbox
TD5 tunnel which is part way through being modified to fit the LT77 and 200tdi
2 Defender seats
Rear door like new
Main wiring harness (blade fuse type)
Brand new front uprated vented discs with brand new pads
Brand new front brake calipers
2" lift extended brake hoses
Polybushes throughout with some sares
Steering box came with the chassis so is in great condition
new A frame ball joint supplied
TD5 full tow bar pack supplied
2 rear folding side facing Exmoor trim seats
V5 & VIN Plate(fitted) currently in my name.
Superwinch LP , I bought this not working but stripped cleaned and rebuilt it and it worked fine after so I'll throw this in too..
4 x 16" steel rims with tyres of varying wear.

The Tub, and Rear door are like new and have been professionally re-sprayed in Stornoway Grey
the roof and bonnet are also like new but been sprayed in Black.
These were all painted off the vehicle at a profession spray company
The bulkhead is still its original colour (Green) with no patches and no corrosion which has been modified to fit the 200tdi

I am planning on keeping (because my 'new' defender will probably need them:
Doors (as I have had then repaired, rebuilt internally and painted
The engine discovery 200tdi converted. (however I may consider selling this for the right offer)
The radiator pack (as its brand new)
The wings as I have had these repaired and re-sprayed.
The winch bumper, but may sell cheap with an offer on the whole vehicle.

I can only base a price on the cost of the parts with a bit knocked off.

**Please note that I don't want to break. but feel free to buy the whole thing and break it yourself.**

I hope whoever is reading this can see my vision of trying to create something which incorporates (in my opinion) all the best bits from an old style defender.

As for the legality of the chassis which I guess will raise a question, I hadn't quite got round to looking into this but I don't think its too complicated if you wanted to go down that route. I'm truly gutted to see this go but with family and work life I simply don't have the time to finish it off.

So I'm looking for:

£2500 with no engine
£3000 with the engine (fitted and can be seen running, starts first flick of the key even now.. ) and winch bumper

I don't think I'm being unrealistic but please leave a note or PM if you think so I'll always listen to others opinion

Please feel free to make a serious offer. Viewings welcome with notice Near Ashbourne, Derbyshire

I can also take more detailed photos videos, please PM if you want them

I think I have added everything, but I'm sure I've missed something with the engine, it pretty much has everything to be finished bar a front to back wiring loom and floor pans which would have to be custom but easy enough to knock up.

Apologies for the photos, these are old photos on my phone, it's a little snow covered at the minute, I'll hose it down later if I can and get some better pics.

Please feel free to answer any questions. I've been a member here for a while now and also Freel2 and currently with Disco4.com, I have nothing to hide at all I'll be as honest as I can.
I'll make a decent donation if the vehicle sells on here also

All the work has been carried out by me bar the respray, I have been working on them for years with the Army and various other 90's like the one in my avatar.

Thanks!

Browny

The first photo is what is was like before I started to sort it out..

A few more pics, sorry about the quality I can't feel my fingers!

Please let me know if you want a picture of anything in particular..

The pictures show one of the two exmoor trim seats and also found a front to back TD5 harness which I planned to join at the front sonit plugged into the rear lights and also the fuel sender. Would just need to the front end modifying..

In typical 200 style, after 8 months I just started her up, I failed to let the flow plug light go out due to excitement 😂

Fired first time started on the next one ..

so with the engine in, is it running and driving, steering and stopping?

Couple of other q's - why did you not paint the bulkhead when you got it to match (much harder now!); do you know any more about the legal situation re the chassis etc?

but could be interested - need a fundamentally sound 90, even if it needs some work.....

Engine starts and runs, clutch and gearbox work and front prop fitted so I drive omits out of my garage under its own steam. The brakes are not fully done, I Re piped the o/s/f but haven't got round to the n/s, just needs a calliper pipe, 10 minute job. The front to back pipe is fitted, but I haven't dont the rear brakes yet but it's pretty close..

Bulkhead wise, it was fully built up with the dash steering wheel and ancils, I only had a car at the time and could t get it to the paint shop, the plan was to finish it much sooner then drive to the paint shop to have the bulkhead masked and painted..
obviously didn't go to plan

I'm not fully sure about the legality of the chassis, I'll try and do some digging.. My 1986 90 is currently on a full rebuild, with new chassis, Paint etc.. Very much a hybrid, TD5 Chassis, tub & bulkhead with a 200TDI and LT77 GB Painted in Stornoway Grey Smile 2 years off the road, but getting close to completion now
