Can you imagine doing those snatch tests on a standard Defender towing eye?

Trouble is, they can take that punishment, they are tough machines, what they cannot take is mud and salty crud sitting on all the fancy sensors for months at a time, the tiny cheap sensor breaks and the car will not work!. Make better sensors! 80" 1948

Must agree with you Pilgrimmick, I had a D3 from new for a number of years and it gave excellent service. After about five years the sensors started to pack up. Every time I went out in it another orange light would pop up on the dash. great piece of kit though. Borrowed a D5 the other day but was disappointed in the (for me) extremely soft suspension compared to my Defender and the wife's Disco Sport. Defender 90XS SW

Go out onto Salisbury plain on any weeked into the CCDA at Sidbury, and you'll see every chav and their dog doing these exact same things to their road going disco 1's, 2's, various old Shoguns and other throw away 4x4's.
