97 TDI 300 coolant
Hi Forums,

I have a 97 TDI 300 soon to be equipped with Alisport Radiator and Intercooler.

Flushing the the system - new hoses and alisport parts

what coolant to use (i did some reading but lost on the OAT/HOAT stuff?)

Bog standard ethylene glycol stuff will be fine. No need for OAT type stuff.

Usually sold in a blue/green colour in the UK but colour is no guarantee.

that's stuff is questionable mind, I used that on my rover metro and I think that's what killed the head gasket. As soon as I started to run it, the car started to have trouble with performance etc.
Also a mate of a mate used it too on his highly powered rebuilt engine and he had the same issues too.

Some people have found it spot on like tolley, but I think its down to the type of engine Ie an ALU lump like the Kseries engine. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

What is the differences?
I do not remember what I put in last service.
