| Fuel Filter change then fail to prime. | |
Strange one today - fuel pump had started making a lot of noise - so on the chance of an easy fix, decided to start with a fuel filter change, nice and easy except the system would then not prime... at all using any method I could find - argh!!! 
Lots of bubbling, fizzy noises in the filter and pump but not a nibble at a start till the battery was flat.
So, stuck it on charge and after much fiddling and surfing the web - turned out the air bleed 'valve' (WKB100330) in the filter housing was gummed up, so cut off the end filter bit and refitted and now running smashing again - pump back to usual noise levels and all good in the world.
So, I did find the problem - but in a rather cold and round about way that took much longer than planned.
