Weatherproof 12v Plugs and Sockets

I’m wanting to build a roof rack wiring loom to feed 12v power to driving lights and various camping lights and power points on the rack itself. I’m looking for help finding a source of some weatherproof plugs and sockets for the project. My idea is to have a type of fixed bulkhead type socket mounted on the rear vertical surface of the roof above the gutter. When the roof rack is mounted it’s loom will simply plug into the socket/s and the reverse when I need to remove the rack. Any pointers please?

I’m looking for something similar, I took the cable out, via a marine cable gland in the rear panel, for my solar panel and used an amp seal connector to the panel. However I think these are a bit insubstantial and a pig to wire so I too am looking for a quality, in line connector.

For your application, suggest you look at DriPlug marine connectors, there are quite a few different types, up to 8 way, and a decent current rating as well.

I'd probably use XLR4 or (Mis)use a powercon or speakon connector from neutrik.
