I’m looking for something similar, I took the cable out, via a marine cable gland in the rear panel, for my solar panel and used an amp seal connector to the panel. However I think these are a bit insubstantial and a pig to wire so I too am looking for a quality, in line connector.

I'd probably use XLR4 or (Mis)use a powercon or speakon connector from neutrik.
