I had this with my series 1 which I used to MOT very year, then last year I thought sod it, it doesn't need one, I won't bother. The trouble was when I went to tax the vehicle it said that I needed an MOT. I rang the DVLA and they informed me that I would have to wait for the MOT to expire and then I could TAX the vehicle with out an MOT, so that's what I did. They told me that its a problem with the DVLA computer system.

Hello

Thanks, the Series III is 'N' reg so 1975? so 42 years young?

Its Tax exempt as when I first got it I taxed it as Historic version and was no cost. The reminder states no fee also but guess I still have to do it?

Its at the garage still.... but will have an MOT soon....

I thought it had changed to 40 Years or older no MOT needed.

I will get an MOT for my piece of mind but just wondering what the law is. I've found when even I have needed to ring the DVLA with a query I can have completely different answers depending upon who I speak to Smile
