Hello Vesku
I will be driving to Nordkapp at the end of this month and would like to now if it is essential or a luxury to have either a Wabasto or similar? I will be driving a 2013 Defender.
Thank you for any help given, Marco

Yes a wbasto engine block heater is essential if the temperature is cold
When I went, three landys had webastos and all worked well, one did not have a webasto and the engine oil froze
The oil was so thick with the cold the engine would not turn over
It was impossible to start and eventually returned to the UK on a recovery lorry

Also one of the puma 110s did not have the cold weather engine breather heater kit fitted and it had to stop ever 30 minutes to defrost the breather pipe

I have a 2013 2.2puma with air conditioning and couldn’t find anywhere to fit the Webasto thermo top C, the engine bay is full up. Where did you manage to place yours. And how long is the installation. Thank you for help, Marco

I have an Webasto thermo top c on my puma.
Here in southern Finland it is just a luxury for most of the time and not in use daily but when we have -20-30 celsius you really need it!
My defender is LHD so I can't help you to find a suitable place for a heater.
I have also an webasto air top for luxury but it is not in place yet because puma is so warm already.

Our trip for 2018 is the Arctic circle via St Petersburg returning through Sweden. Should be in Finland in late June just hope the insects dont get to be a problem. Fortunately got 2 months for the trip so easy going.
