Isn't it standard ISO connector? Like here:

I have replaced OEM with Kenwood KDC-BT60U and it is simple plug&play switch. Janusz

Thanks for the diagram. Just what I needed. In the end the alpine head unit fitted into the oem connectors.

Another fascinating diagram, thanks!

Why does the radio unit have a reversing lamp signal? What happens when it goes live?

Has anyone fitted a "Becker CD Changer"?

C1 is usually for an external amp in high end units
C2 is usually phone connection and steering wheel controls
C3 is usually CD changer bus

Assuming almost standard mainstream german unit wiring Wink

Having speed sense on the block already is very useful, is it definitely there in the Defender?!

EDIT: AH I just realised that's your becker unit manual not the Defender wiring Embarassed Disco 3 gone but the memory of the bills remain...
XS 110 Utility maybe one day..... (did they fix the quality yet?)

I've just attempted to install a new alpine unit in the truck, and the unit appears to have no power
Checked fuses, and they are fine.

Can anyone tell me how the wiring is connected usually, i.e. where does the cable to the OEM plugs run to?

Whilst installing I found a couple of oddities, and I'm wondering if the wiring has been messed with...
cabling seemed to tidied away with sticky tape, and seems to run down LH side of centre console in foot well -
I'm guessing this is not standard LR (for a defender that came from LR radio ready, no unit)
Also the attenae connection, seem very very tight... Not sure it fits really!

I put an Alpine CDE-126BT in mine a few month back, and it simply plugged into thr LR loom and everthing worked perfectly. No cutting or splicing or anything unusual required. Maybe yours has been interfered with.
