My rule'o'thumbs -> if it was not driven 25,000 miles a year, it may be in bad shape.

Thou shalt not kill a Defender by let'em stand on the curbside, it must be driven.

Once a driver is doing 25k, she or he will take care of the British patient and keep it warm and in shape. Never forget: cars have owner, Landrover have field service personnel.
