I presume you have alloy wheels? if you have steel wheels you dont even have to remove.
No bearings or seals to worry about. There is a gasket on the drive flange but cleaning up the faces and using a decent silicone will be fine for reassembly. Leave the drive flange on the halfshaft for removal too. Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

Yeah, just go easy with the drive flange bolt removal as they can be known to snap if they have previously been overtightened/threads full of silicone.
Its worth having a bit of rag to hold around the shaft as you pull it out as it will likely be coated in axle oil. I generally like to drain the diff oil before removing the shafts as i can overflow through the end of the stub axle if it is too full or you are parked on a side slope.
