Air Conditioning issue
Hi,

I have got an issue with the air conditioning on my 2007 puma. When at standstill and the air con is turned on there is a clicking sound from the engine (perhaps the compressor coming on?). It happens every 2-3 seconds and you can feel it move the car like it is slowing the engine.
It also happens when driving and the air con is on but is much more noticable when stationary.
Has anyone else had this and know what might be causing it?

My FL1 used to slow the engine when the AC kicked in, if you remove the top belt cover off the aircon compressor, you should be able to see the compressor kicking in and out of drive, if its cycling, perhaps it needs re-gassing?

It is normal, it is the ON-OFF cycles of the aircon. Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

2 to 3 seconds souds like abnormal cycling unless you live in the Arctic circle. More likely short on gas causing low pressure switch to cut the clutch in and out. Puma 110 - gone

Thanks for the replies. I will take it to the garage this week. Hoping it is just gas...had a couple of td5's before but not had this puma long but it certainly doesn't seem normal.

Had it looked at today and it was over filled hence the over pressure sensor kept kicking in. [/list]
