Can anyone recommend a really simple (and hopefully low cost / free for personal use) CAD package?
I'm looking to do some simple house plans and designs for myself to put thoughts / sizes on paper for a new house to then take to a architect / tech planner for the professional touch. I have never used a CAD package so something simple is needed As an afterthought my laptop is a touchscreen if that makes any difference Cheers Keith |

Sketchup would be my suggestion. Free and very easy to use. North Cumbria Search and Rescue - Team Leader

Probably want to start with Sketchup as its free. We use FastCAD which is easy to use but you have to purchase. James

Again a suggestion for sketchup. It is free and easy. I use for woodworking projects but there is not a limitation for you.

Thanks guys!
In my shame I thought it was such a random requirement I never did a search first - should have known someone else would have had the need for info before me Once again the forum shows the depth of knowledge and helpful nature of its members. Cheers one and all Keith |
