My workshop inflator is a PCL but the traditional type, not the digital type, and I cannot comment on the latter.
I have however never been let down by a PCL inflator. |

They pretty much come back as good as new when you get them serviced. A little scruffy looking on the outside but with mostly new guts, good for another 30 years at least. Have you checked the accuracy against a cheap digital gauge? Unless they've been abused (on a petrol station forecourt for example), they rarely give much trouble.
The digital one will need batteries replacing periodically and the LCD may become unresponsive in the cold. The batteries are bound to be flat when you need to use it in a hurry or don't have any replacements to hand. Although i suppose the backlight may be handy in poor light. |

Zsd-Ouma. There is a discrepancy with the reading. If for example I put the tyre valve connector onto a tyre it reads for example 1.5 bar, take it off and put it straight back on the same tyre is can read 1.3 bar. When using it on my trailer tyres at nominally 4.7 bar the discrepancy can be as much as 0.5 bar.
Did you have yours serviced by PCL or someone else? Defender 90XS SW Mini Countryman Cooper S Morgan Plus 8 |
