My father would say... It's only another thing to go wrong!!
The only thing I don't like is the actual 'up/down' button pod, looks a little Heath Robinson. Integral OEM switches would look nice MCMA1 was going to produce a kit but I don't know if it ever made it to market? I hated that in the 110
They'd get out and just knock the handle which would leave a small gap in the window I did love the 110 though |

Our middle windows always just drop a small amount. I was going to devise something to stop this but actually, I can't get rid of all the Defender characteristics! James

The winder handles should be set so they are just before being at the bottom of their rotation to stop the windows drupping. The weight of the winder handle (despite being small) should stop them opening over bumps. Worked fine on my 110.

These appear to be the kits supplied by vcdparts.co.uk and (if so) they are excellent quality. I fitted a set to my DC in January, they were a really easy fit, everything needed was supplied, and the quality of the kit is impeccable. A very valuable upgrade.
I bought mine directly from vcdparts.co.uk for £270 inc VAT, delivered next day by UPS. I can provide the contact details by PM if you want. Last edited by blackwolf on 16th Nov 2017 4:06pm. Edited 1 time in total |

The only way I could stop mine working open was to use a bungee strap round the winder knob and through the door pull handle. I was very pleased to bin the bungees when I fitted the electric lift kit. |

Installed it a few months ago. Is from an Italian manufacturer, winder part of the kit looks OEM.
Easy install, only problem is where to put the buttons. Cables supplied are for the backside of the cubby, but my dog now uses the buttons tas a step. There is a install video at https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=p5Cc_vWtpsM Martin Previous 2003 Defender 110 Hardtop TD5 2004 Defender 110 Station Wagon TD5 - Libyan Sand 2005 Discovery 3 - V8 - Black |
