After three calls I got through to the dealership at 17:10 this evening.
After a brief conversation it was revealed the hissing was a split intercooler hose (See first post nearly eighty days ago) I was very close to saying told you so but didn't want to sound like a prick. A new one has been ordered and will be replaced. I now anticipate Monday or Tuesday next week to get it back. |

Incredibly disappointing, without a doubt, but £5000 of new parts isn't anything to scoff at!
I would be asking for all those parts taken off yours to be put in a doggy bag to take home! |

Yes all that work for a split hose.
I was going to pay the £100 ish and get a set of bas silicone hoses and get them to fit them. But I didn't and it cost somebody lots. The head was apparently out by four thou. Apparently all removed parts under warranty work must be retained by dealership for a period of time to prove work has been done if queried. Fuel pump damaged on removal was £998 |

Finally I can bring this to a close
I have my truck back To be sure they got it right they have replaced all intercooler hoses and intercooler. Needless to say I'm happy now I'm not convinced it needed any more than the hoses from the word go but I've had three months in a hire car so no wear and tear on mine and it's had new oil and filters on top of the other bits. Back to smiles while I drive |

Absolute gem voicemail today from the dealership
"Hello sir just a curtesy call. We can't find the keys to the hire car you left on Friday. Do you know who you handed them over to?" Completely incompetent w⚓️s |

4 thou is marginally more credible than the 400 thou they told you at first! It would be funny if it wasn't so depressing. |

Reviving an old thread
Driving home tonight and.......... It’s gone again. Woosh and limp home with eml on. Call to lr assistance and they will be to me between 7-9 tomorrow am. I have found the split hose and attempted to get the guy to bring one with him. Click image to enlarge Let’s see if it’s possible to listen to the customer and get it right first time. |

7:45 this morning and lr assist turn up with a pipe and on my way to work by 8:30. New pip is very different/ improved. It’s adifferent shape with a more pronounced bend to keep it away from the coolant pipe that chaffed the old one. It also felt harder but who knows how hard the old one was five years ago.

Slightly OT but still talking about crankcase pressure......
I see injector seals are mentioned in this thread and others in being a cause of excessive crankcase pressure. How is that the case? |

Not certain but mine got new seals while the Head was off.
I don’t see how when the injector seals seal to atmosphere not crankcase how they would effect crankcase pressure |
