Our Neff dishwasher broke down a few months ago, well out of warranty. A call to Neff saw a smart engineer arrive the next day, diagnose the problem and fix it with a part that he had on the van. He then marked it down as a warranty call so it didn't cost us anything. Very impressed. Darren

British Gas Boiler repair service and repair contract , attended at the time quoted to a boiler fault, fixed it extremely pleasant and well mannered, explained what was replaced (and showed me) and when I checked the prices on the internet found that it would take british gas 4yrs to recoup the part costs alone.
I have however had pretty crap service off a string of builders and trades during the refurb of my knackered house DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

Richer Sounds... we had a soundbar which was wrong - it obscured the bottom edge of the tv so we took it back and changed for a sound box at no extra cost
This the went wrong towards very end of the warranty period and they changed it for a newer model with no issues. We’ve had all sorts of stuff and they are always helpful 👍 |

You have in the UK a merchant called Axminster Tools.
They have good range with very not expensive postage to France sometimes arriving next day. Much better than French equivalent. When one piece was missing in a packet I called to them and they had a person who speak French talk with me. One day after I receive the piece without question. Always very good advise to. |

Triton showers.... my electric one packed up (still under warranty, they have 2 year cover!)
I whipped the lid off and metered out the thermostat and diagnosed that as the culprit. Engineer came and agreed, changed it, and checked everything else out too. top chap. Also SKY, out LNB packed up (eventhough it was a new one I'd fitted about 2 months back, left over from a job I was on). Two engineers came out (although I knew them from a pub install some years back), great blokes, sorted it AOK. |

Dare I say - Amazon.
I had a Windows phone - Lumia 950XL. After 11 months the GPS packed up. Still in warranty, Amazon first suggested I approach Microsoft. From the support site, it just said that the only support was via the forums. No option to return for repair or anything. Told Amazon the problem, instant refund of original purchase price. Had similar experiences with electrical goods too. |

Fjallraven. They managed to source me an item that was long sold out and sent it over from Sweden. They also send patches of material FOC so I can repair tears caused by blackthorn, barb, silky etc

Bob Pilbeam's Range Rover Service Centre at Hailsham, East Sussex. They've done all my Land Rover repairs and servicing for over thirty years. I've never had a problem with the quality of their work or their prices.

'Rules' that generally prove to be true...
You only know through first hand experience. You only really know when things don't go as planned. Larger the Company, poorer the Service. Larger the Sales Team, lower the Trust. Larger the Customer Services Team, poorer the Product or Service. Only true Competition encourages Value and to be Great in all aspects. Everything a Company does is a direct result of either good or bad Management. Owners name over the door, probably a good Company. Advice to cope with poor Service... 1. If your not involved yet ...walk away 2. If you are involved... 'can I initiate a customer complaint' this (hopefully) takes you down a route to a faster fix. We can all now share a good experience, and broadcast a bad one. Good Luck SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |
