I haven't yet completed it, but I have bought an insert for the fill pipe. It cuts in, and then has a pipe that feeds into the tank. I can try and find a link later. V8 90...WIP

Just found this from a quick google. It's not the same supplier, but the same thing and gives you a starting place
https://www.butlertechnik.com/installation...252a-p1291 I spoke with a supplier and they said the td5 one should fit fine. As I say, not done it yet, but need to now the weather is getting chilly! V8 90...WIP |

I put a dip tube drilled through the level sender plate. Got access by carefully cutting an access panel through the rear floor, there's a link on doing it on a 90 somewhere on here - IIRC Danielle (DGardel) did it and posted pictures.

Choices are various.
Tee piece into fuel line from tank. However I would not recommend that as you could land up with an empty main tank. Alternatives are fuel pick up via fuel filler hose. Look here Can get a fuel pick up direct to tank such as THIS Or a separate diesel tank for your heater 13 litre here or 7.5 litre here HTH Brendan Last edited by leeds on 2nd Nov 2017 12:25pm. The best thing to do is to use the fuel filler scavenger that dips into the fuel tank from the filler hose, its a 10 min job and even an unskilled thumb fisted like me managed it with no issues. I have done this to both 110’s and with 2 different heaters.
(The one on Brendans link is similar to the type I’ve used, but mine was from another manufacturer http://www.4x4overlander.com/product/diesel-fuel-pick-up-pipe/) hope that helps Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 ![]() |

Why not fit a small seperate tank and run it on much cheaper 'red' diesel?

Exactly what I do Laurie
![]() I use an old header tank from a Focus that was being scrapped and fitted it under the bonnet next to the heater box. It probably holds just under 2 litres but will run my Eberspacher for a good 18 hours |

Thank you for the replies,
I think i am going to go with the scavenge pipe in the filler neck. Will save me having to remember to fill another tank! |
