I would start by replacing the injector harness. Clean up the old oil. You might still find oil escaping for a week or so after replacing the injector loom and then go from there.
There should (in my experience) only be oil on the red plug. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

The oil comes along the injector wires to the red plug and without checking I thought 4 of the 5 are on the left side off the plug. So if you could tilt your Ecu with the plug down and rights side a little upwards you might have less problems as the oil will only partly cover the other connections.
The egine loom will keep on dripping oil for weeks but it will get less and less. Roel 1984 90 2.5 na Diesel - RR V8 (1994-2001) 1997 Camel Trophy Discovery 300TDI (2001-2009) 2005 G4 Discovery III 4.4 V8 (2008-2018) It's gone but it still hurts. 2003 90 Td5 (2009-now) |

WIth my Disco 2 when this happened I replaced the injector harness only (sealing the new one properly before fitting it) and cleaned the red plug thoroughly with brake cleaner. I also found that I had oil inside the ecu, so that also got the (careful) brake cleaner treatment.
I then checked and cleaned the red connector about once a week until it stayed clean, and after about 4 weeks the oil had drained out of the harness and it stopped oozing. That was at least 10 years and about 100,000 miles ago and I have had any trouble since. |
