Seems a bit too nice to break just for the engine that! A bit pricey too. Dieselpumpuk seem to be the go-to guys for this project. Minor Update: Just bought a low-mileage BMW ZF 6-speed, should handle double the torque of a good R380. 200Tdi Big turbo party wagon - Club86 on YouTube |

Alright, did you have any joy finding a engine or e300, I've a nice s reg e300 i bought a few months ago which i'm thinking about selling (was going to mot and use it for a year or two as is pretty solid old motor and drives really nice) just havent got round to it yet and being honest with my self i'm not really needing another car and just dont have the spare time for it.
Is a top spec advantgarde model with full leather and heated seats etc and has done 130,000miles Nicholas |

Hi mate, lovely car Probably well out of my price range though, I'd feel pretty bad butchering that. PM me if you do want to sell it. 200Tdi Big turbo party wagon - Club86 on YouTube

Thanks mate it really is alovely motor to drive
Ive been thinking about it some more and will try to get it sorted up for a mot nearer christmas, it does have a abs fault of some sort making the brake pedal juďder more than it should and i need to change the glow plugs, as the glow plug light stays on for a short while after starting the engine to show they arent all working. Price wise its due me about £700 all in which i dont thinks too bad as replaced the engine on my 2.4 defender and it cost over 2000 for just a new bare engine only Which is kinda how i came about buying it but being realistic i'm not going to start pulling apart my puma defender to fit this although probably would of done if i had this when the original died. I'm at lanark in lanarkshire if youd consider driving that far for one? |

I've seen an OM606 and Ollie North R380 adapter with EGR delete and pump lock tool. Advertised by someone I follow on instagram - £1200.
I can get in touch with him for contact details if you're interested |

Cheers Hank, I've got my eye on it but was hoping to use my BMW ZF6 instead of the R380. 200Tdi Big turbo party wagon - Club86 on YouTube

why would you feel bad about breaking that? just get the running gear pulled and weigh the rest in. How easy is this engine conversion anyway? and what is the best defender for the job?
