Ian,
Are you sure you’re existing Ultagauge is dead?.....maybe just a bad connection to the OBD? Why don’t you try plugging it back in again, turning on the ignition, let it do its scan and see if it comes back to life? |

I did have a play about with it when I got home,
It stays on the "scanning page" for a good 5 mins, then displays a page with error, the buttons do not work as they should? If you press the menu, it goes back to scanning? I've plugged other diagnostics in to the OBD, and it all works fine? If you start it with it connected, I get the faults with the cluster, and limp mode. Surely It has to be the gauge? 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Does sound like it.
Are your radio and interior lights working ok?...just a thought as the OBD is on the same fuse 10 amp (F30) I think? Might be worth pulling it out and putting it back in again and see if anything happens. I only say this because my radio wouldn’t work the other day and I pulled the F30 fuse and put it back in again and the radio came back to life....???....and my Ultagauge then did its scan and re-started, and all was ok again. |

Interesting?....
Cheers for that info, My stereo has been fine, and the lights, but I will check the fuses, I will have another look at the OBD plug at the weekend. It's a pain that it's in the dash, as I could have plugged it in to another car! Thanks again for the advice 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

out of interest, how did you have it powered? Was it on an ignition feed, or constantly on (even with ign switched off) ? My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html
