I did the job for 30 years ,the best bit's there no pictures of as some customers did not want pictures taken or time was not on my side then there's was my work with the Ministry of Defence and there's no pictures of that because they took your phone and camera you had both in those days.I also went places and moved cars that I should of took pictures of but just didn't think that anyone would be interested, how things have changed . |

Hindsight is a wonderful thing eh.
Re the MOD, I live by Salisbury Plain and regularly see all types of weird and wonderful stuff being tested/on exercise but sadly it's rather lost on me as I'm clueless about military gear. However a mate of mine who's really into that stuff goes goggle eyed when he comes down to visit and is forever taking photos. |

I used to deliver to Foulness island just off of Southend and when I say just off of Southend we are talking yards rather than miles There's a lot of testing go's on there too I am just looking back on some of the mod's I've had done to my 2012 2.2 90,The first major work was done by Chris at CSK a full Dyamat sound proofing next up Bilstein suspension upgrade - 1" and now it should handle a Alive stage 2 remap ,full marks to CSK a totally different car ,pulls from low down right though the rev range the steering now works and I can listen to the radio as I make swift progress down B roads with no crashing and the rear end following the front.Next up a glove box which had a 12v power supply fitted.
Click image to enlarge 2nd pictures shows the lovely alisport front bumper I did not want running/day lights so fitted some louvered bezels over the holes Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge the Speaker Head lights came from a member on this forum and are a huge boost to front lighting |

Just been to Mersea Island in Essex yes Essex for a Holiday about 20 mile up the road from where we live ,the shortest drive I have ever had to a holiday destination unfortunately I never made it back home in the shortest time after dropping the caravan off at it's storage place we stopped for fuel and the Defender would not start the temperature gauge showing very hot, there was no loss of water ,heater was working as a defender heater works the needle on the gauge had been at half mast where it would normally sit before I turn the Defender off so not hot, I have just gone over the 19,000 miles so not new any more Any way as the recovery lorry turned up it started and drove home all of 5 miles like brand new ,as I saw on a kids T shirt at the one of the shows "it's a Land Rover thing" . Back on the holiday theme Mersea Island is a beautiful location with good food ,lovely walks and a small village feel and I did take a couple of pictures which I can't seem to download

The pic's might be to big i have had this before and if you can change the resolution to the smallest pixels that will help if not, look in "other topics" under "images" by L110 CDL 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Nice one just a thought for you, what about if you take a screen shot of the pic you want to upload, then you should have it on the new setting 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

I fitted these new wing top air vents
Click image to enlarge I had to make a rubber gasket as they didn't sit nice on the checker plate wing tops ,so I found some rubber sheet in the skip that had been used on the straw target's in archery, trying to find a bit with out holes in it was hard but once cut to shape and fitted looks good.
