[For Sale] 1998 300tdi Discovery Safari.
Hi

Due to a house move I have to let my old Discovery go.

It's been standing for 3 years, was running well and used daily before being parked up, replacement Defender being that reason.

1998 S reg Safari model, about 1100 made, the run out model of the last 300s,
I've owned it since 2006, and was my daily vehicle until 2014

grey LR logo seats which replaced the originals,
winch bumper and winch, medium duty Terrafirma springs and shocks,
Highland metallic green (used only on Safari edition)
It's Quite straight for its age, too good to scrap.

Think it was showing 180, 190,000 miles?
Not sure on exact mileage, transfer box was replaced with a good second hand one around 160,000 miles
Ideal engine donor, it was always well serviced by myself, and never used oil/fluids, the only time it broke down was when the head gasket went, good chassis, sills will need work, maybe more now?
I'm 10 miles away from it, and only see it every now and then.

Can get photos if interested,

Yes she's got aircon, and it was working!
Discovery is located 2 miles south of Newbury Berkshire. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Thanks - unfortunately it’s further than practical for me.
For me and the usual eBay car transporters largely say they can’t take the weight. Shame, but I don’t wish to mess you around, thanks anyway

I’m not far from you and could be interested depending on condition to restore it.

My first Land Rover was a Safari and I had it for several years until my now wife introduced it to a tree in Aberdeenshire one winter! After she was told not to use that road as it wasn’t gritted Censored Censored Banging Head Russell

This was always my intention! ^^^

According to the Discovery owners club, there aren't many Safari models left on the road now,
I can't get any photos until Saturday, maybe that will give people a better idea of what it's like.

I would only break it for parts so would rather someone has it to restore but will take it and can collect if no one else has it.

I've only ever seen a few Safaris, but did have the round side badges on a Defender for a while.

If you can get a photo of them could you post it on here, they where a great badge!
