200tdi fuel tank guard

I fancy fitting one of these to the old fella, but I'm wondering how big a task it is?

I have fitted that same guard to my 300tdi 90, it was a nightmare, the fit of the brackets was abysmal and required lots of cutting, grinding and welding. I recently had a conversation with a local independent Land Rover specialist who had fitted one that his customer had supplied and he had the same experience. Personally I'd avoid it like the plague.

1993 Defender 110 200 Tdi CSW Firenze Red

I the same brand one to my 110. Similarly it took a bit of fettling and to this day is still held on with 3 of the 4 fixings as it was just too tight to get a washer over the bolt. To be fair, its done the job through!
