It doesn't take that much force to get the bushes back in if you've got them out.

You could probably use a bottle jack underneath a suitable vehicle (obviously not the one with suspension in pieces) to push them back in.

I built a press, it does have a 25t bottle jack in it but the Genuine bushes went in very smoothly with very little effort from the press (no idea how much it actually used). Getting them out is another ball game though, but I found it easier to cut through the metal with a hack-saw and then split them with a screw driver and big hammer. Ed

Good idea I have a small 3 ton bottle jack maybe try it under the chassis see if it works or go for some poly bushes.

Really wish i had left the original ones in now although they must have been shot after 25 years but they looked good.

Sykes pickavant kit would make short work of those bushes. Don’t know how I could get that one past the CFO Big Cry

Just for info - with 20t hydraulic press it was only once up to 6t. The rest was less. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo Smile

I actually did this.
I replaced Radius arms, panhard rod, trailing arms and A frame all at the same time.

just make sure you park your defender on a perectly flat ground. the truck is not moxving anywhere. chock all 4 wheels.

I did this all on slight (slight) incline and the rod ends moved a wee bit out of alignment with the rear axle, nothing a ratchet strap couldn't pull back in to place though Thumbs Up Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...
