I have a NEXT BASE 112 which works fine, but instead of overwriting it stops when the card is full (about every 6 hrs with a 32gb card so this is a little annoying) DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

I’ve been considering getting one of the generic A119 dash cams they sell on Amazon under various made up brands. Review here... http://www.techmoan.com/blog/2016/11/2/das...amera.html 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I've just fitted one of these (APEMAN): https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01F5C...&psc=1
Image quality seems pretty good so far and it comes with a rear camera too. Only problem with fitting was the curves in the dashboard of a puma and the fuzzy headlining meant I had to find an alternative fixing point. Being tall meant I didn't want it at the top of the windscreen as that's the bit I use. I wasn't sure about the rules on having it in an area covered by the wipers either. Now stuck to the windscreen on the passenger side. I'll see how it goes in the rain and snow, but fine so far. Rear camera bracket broke when I tried to adjust to stick too rear window grill. Fortunately, it's a barrel that can be unscrewed in the middle, so now screwed onto the grills. Records two separae MOV files - one for front, one for back. Automatically turns on and off (can do motion detection too). If it detects an accident (sudden bump), it marks the current file so that it won't be overwritten. Does some clever stuff relating to lane assist and low light warning, but as the screen is tiny, they're just distractions so best turned off. Screen can be set to turn off after starting to avoid distractions. I've a long drive on Thursday, so I'll see how it goes then. |

Thanks for your input all. I found that nextbase sell via an ebay outlet so picked up their 412GW for around £60. So far it seems good

Used in on my bike, drone, car, swimming etc it really is one of the few things that I have bought thinking it will not be very good and its ACE It was only around £25 when I bought it... But there are even copies of the copy.... some for £15 or less... Click image to enlarge This is a clip of the quality and this is hand held on the top of dash It's not however GPS that some of the new ones are, Well happy for what I paid |
