So quick update, nothing has broken, fallen off or even leaked yet. I am AMAZED at how good this defender is compared to my last one.
Just fitted Safety Devices roof rack and Hella black spotlights. |

Quick update, still nothing has broken or fallen off
The Velar is at the other end of the universe to a Defender, I don't think LR will produce another Defender that is anything like the old model, the only thing I think they will do is make it a full electric yoke which would have some nice symmetry to the old one Click image to enlarge |

One word. Awesome.
Don't think there are anymore unregistered defenders left in Ireland now. Pity. |

My 2 favourite dogs, the one at the front just looks like he is rusty but is not, the one at the back looks like is not rusty but is, alas it was to good to be true and so the warranty battle starts...
Click image to enlarge Paint or whatever it is bubbling on top of gear knob, anyone else had the same issue? |

your defender is such a lovely example, I suggest you take it to a specialist to have all the metal work fully protected and coated to preserve it's condition. Beautiful example! My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html

Gear lever top on Mrs Doublea's Adventure still immaculate current mileage c6000. I wouldn't accept yours.
A/c fan similarly corroded along with the frame brackets. Also has the usual corrosion to windscreen blocks. Some corrosion to roof rack on account of pin holes in the power coat (standard fit on UK models). Surface corrosion to aluminium under body protection too, it's not had any additional corrosion protection. I had the front bumper, rear step bumper, seat belt bracing and fuel filter guard power coated when new and all are bearing up well. I was dropping off my 110 at Land Rover for extensive warranty work when I saw this on another defender apparently in for warranty and thought of your thread.
As part of my warranty work at three years, the aircon condenser is getting replaced, but mine wasn't anything like as bad as this one! This vehicle had also had new sidesteps, new towbar, new bumper and new bonnet slam panel. It had a Shetland garage name on the number plate, say no more! The defender was parked up in the same spot on Thursday and again on the following Tuesday, as if they had done so much and were going to get back to it. It was in full view, right next to the visitors' parking! Thanks for the info doublea
Wow thats bad, mine has loads of rust including on the inside and leaking. I am going to the dealer tomorrow and I think they will be getting it back for good, don't think I am up for the fight. Land Rover are just a bunch of robbing c**nt* and I am sure if any of the rest of us with small businesses supplied and treated our customers the way they do not only would we be out of business, we would probably be in jail. This is on a car that is looked after better than any baby, I have spent well over € 2500.00 in a year on detailing. It has never been in muddy field and I did not even use it when the roads were icy because of the salt. Like whats the point, I was keeping it forever in as new condition but this is impossible due to the quality. It has only had 6 months use and its like this already. I wrote all details of the rust and how it was not dealt with by the dealer the first time but have just deleted them as lets see what happens tomorrow. As I told them on Friday I will not be putting up with the normal of we have sent a report to LR. |

to continue my rant, if any of you guys reading this have bought a works v8 you are the definition of more money than sense.
Yours will probably be no different, so unless you got the money selling drugs or robbing a bank why in the world would you let them rob you. |
