Australia 2004 Defender 90 Td5 SW Bonatti Grey
Heritage
Very early on it was apparent to me that the knob on the main gear lever of my Heritage was loose. The dealer replaced the whole lever under warranty. Recently, using low ratio for the first time, I realised that the transfer lever knob was also coming off. I have measured both the internal diameter of the knob and the external diameter of the white plastic top of the shaft as 15mm, so it doesn't look to me as though it is a manufacturing fault.

Have any other Heritage owners had an issue with this? My dealer is getting a replacement lever and knob but I suspect it should just have some kind of adhesive or sealant there to hold the knob on.

Thanks Nige. I reckon they missed a bit with the Sikaflex gun.
