HD steel wheel and MTR tyre on my '14 plate for 2.5 years- fine to begin with, but toward the end the door became somewhat hard to shut and the latch constantly creaked. I adjusted the latch striker but the problem would always come back. The hinges still appeared in good condition.
Earlier this year I fitted a MOD/LR wheel carrier- very similar to the Mantec part and the door now closes beautifully. Since initially adjusting the latch I've had no further problems. When I fitted the carrier I also took the time to white lithium grease the hinges and latches which also helps the closing, and of course corrosion imho 2014 Keswick Utility 2.2 |
