oil in turbo / engine breather
Hi all,

Fitted a recon turbo (from Turbo Technics) around 50 miles ago and decided thought I could hear a light whistling so took the inlet pipe off (the plastic 90 degree one that comes off with two bolts) and the turbo seemed to have a fair bit of oil in the bottom.

I can't be sure that the oil isn't coming from the turbo but it looks as if its coming down the oil breather pipe as it's dry between the junction and the air filter.

I've taken the crankcase breather off the top and there just seems to be a diaphragm with a spring in it. Is there supposed to be a gauze or any kind of filter in there? I would expect to see some oil in there but this seems excessive.

Dave
