Nice sign. As an Essex boy, I'd suggest anyone 'pilfering' from a premises in Southend in the 1980s would have been happy just to be prosecuted!!

My late father in Law had a sign in his yard which showed a picture of a man with a blunderbuss with the words KEEP OUT OR YOU WILL BE SHOT. The police made us take it down as we all had shot gun licence's and it was not the way to behave so they said ,

Following a long from the last page this is the first pictures of my 90 I can find I think by now it was fitted with the 200TDi engine from the rolled 90 I bought
Click image to enlarge The 1st and 4th pictures are in Wales this was the Wickford Gay Mens off road club we got some great discounts and know one ever asked for proof that we were a genuine club and when a couple of boys from wales did ask they got told "we not gay gay just happy gay still got some funny looks".The 2nd picture is back at Thamemead which by then had got a lot smaller. The 4th picture is the only one I have of my diesel Mazda engined Range Rover a 3lt 4 pot 5 speed box what a tool,it was a very nice conversion by a frim in Cambridge wish I had kept this one.the picture shows me on my way back from Scotland with a XK 140 that needed a little work |

I think with more weight and a longer wheel base the 110 is just more stable,I have been using for real long distance or heavy loads up to 3 1/2 ton a L233 Range Rover you can't beat them for towing but break downs where always around the corner,I don't want to start a towing thread as very one has a different idea.Who's that man shouting Toyota Landcruiser Click image to enlarge This is what I had up until I retired and I still have the Jeep as my daily drive and has only ever needed just two bulbs in a 100,000 miles,It would tow large cars as above and 4x4s at the speed limit for hours same as the Range Rover but half the cost and more reliable |

To be in Somersham, I nearly said were you lost! I'm down your neck of the wood tomorrow, looking at a Defender in Mauldon. I'll keep an eye out for you! James

What a great read and fantastic thread.
It's like a Land Rover version of classic cabbie's tales "You'll never guess what I had on the back of my Land Rover..." Thanks for sharing Legin. |
