We are planning on running them in the snowdonia area, had a grp booked in end of this month to go but hotel could not accomodate in the end! Will look at it all again it there is the interest. Would need give to six vehicles to make it cost effective. Cheers

i can vote for James days out and green lane tours.all legal, all driven before he runs a trip and led by some good folks.

Join GLASS, most areas run regular free trips out.
You also get access to Trailwise which gives you information about lanes. Alternatively buy an OS map, look at the BOATs (byways open to all traffic) and ORPAs/UCRs (other routes with public access/unclssified county roads), plot a route, check on the local council definite map for closures (most are online these days), go off on your own. I would recommend taking some means of getting yourself out of a pickle should you get stuck, the cheapest and IMO most useful being some waffle boards. |
