United Kingdom 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Stornoway Grey
I have to say that it looks wrong and utterly pointless irrespective of the numberplate to my eyes, and confirms many of my suspicions about McG and modern vehicle designers in general. I concede however that it is highly likely that nobody who finds the boxy and rectilinear shape of a Defender attractive will like it.

It is however interesting that the offset rear looked so right on Disco 1 and 2 where it had purpose, and actually worked quite well on Disco 3 even when it had become pointless. The half-arsed job on this thing is just naff and wrong!

I also have to confess that ever time I see the back end of a new Disco I am reminded of the Beeb's reporter, Laura Kuenssberg for some reason. Probably horribly uncharitable, but there is something about the Disco that reminds be of her noggin . Shocked

Not obsessed at all, won't touch me, it is not us who voted it, but I do have an opinion on it, yes.
'B' word Shocked Is it something too dirty to mention now, like the Americans use certain one letter words? Laughing
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Notwithstanding that these are spy shots of the new one if you are wanting something that actually has some design and thought put in that isn't a pale pastiche of a fondly remembered original try this http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/suzuki/jimny/...-spy-shots Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Is it just me, or does that Jimny have a bit of a 'Jeep' look about it?

Your right lambert.the.farmer, at least you can see its heritage in the new design Thumbs Up

The consensus in Jimny land is it's got a lot of sj in it with some bits of fourtrak, g waggon and 70 series cruiser. I really love it and can't wait to see it unveiled at Tokyo. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.
