Same thing on mine. Both mounts replaced and windscreen surround repaired. One week only, and can't really see why it would take any longer ... Well not 5 weeks anyway.. My 10th Land Rover, but my first Defender.

I suspect the LR dealership doesn't have a body shop so they've sent it to their approved body shop where it's in the queue with all the others that have been rear ended or in proper accidents so it's more than likely not even been started yet.
I suppose in the grand scheme of things giving me a disco sport for 5 weeks is probably the easiest way for them to deal with it. |

Don't have a body shop and have to wait for approval, plus low interest then time to do the work.
Still not acceptable Mike |

Hunters of Derby had mine in to replace the intercooler hose. They said they sub-contract to a body repair shop locally to inspect paintwork and so couldn't get it looked at.
Have to take it back another time then I suppose Got a Jaguar XF to knock about in whilst they fixed her - which was good but no use for carting 2 labs around in |

Almost the same story.... at almost 7 years old I can see the slightest suggest of corrosion on the windscreen surround - I recently swapped the bracket blocks myself as one was seriously corroded. Hopefully next year get the windscreen surround out and windscreen and do a proper paint job on it. good luck. |

+1 for the window frame bubbling.
Mine was done at two years old, it's a 63 plate. They also put a new seal between the window frame and bulkhead due to some water ingress showing in the footwell. It started to leak again after a year although only a few drops in heavy rain. Now it's getting back to where it was before and needs attention. It drops onto the rubber mats so not a big deal. A spray test showed it was the same seal leaking again. I am not a fan of these memory foam seals!!! Any farther South and I'll need to trade the Defender in for a Landing Craft |

Worked brilliantly for me. Good for front window brackets as well as window seal. |

Whilst mine was still under warranty i had the same issue as you. Dealer farmed it out to a third party who had it for about 6 weeks. I contacted/complained to Land rover head office. they sent me a lovely hamper with champagne. and i also managed to "negotiate" a free expedition roof rack and rear ladder!! Although i had to pay for the fitting!!

Well they started it today. I know this as they sent me a "if we break your window screen you have to pay form".
Lets see. I forsee a CS call asking if the warranty covers broken windows while replacing the rusted window frame that is being done under warranty. |
