ive made some adjustments on this and shortened the striker slightly, i found go to much and it doesn't catch properly. Ive noticed the bumper stops each side were not touching so allowed the bonnet to be rocked and in turn pop open . Ive lengthened these also to see if that helps. i guess next option is to lengthen the striker but that seems wrong as currently i have a snug fit with no movement.

On my defender the cable operated better with a better clamp ( which is located just before the mechanism).which keeps the outside of the cable fixed, while the inside is able to move freely. Perhaps this would help.

Well in the end I bought genuine land rover striker, new plate, spring and the catch bit it goes into. 3 hours later with help finally swapped it all for new and do far so good. What a pig of a job that was right awkward access.

The bonnet on my 2013 Puma has suddenly become impossible to fully close.?
Strange as it was fine at the weekend. Cable seems Ok and catch mechanism moves when release cable is pulled. It seems that the connections just batters against the mechanism when you try to close it

Any ideas anybody?
