Hi All,
If you have a Scangauge on your vehicle and you use the Fuel Economy function then there is a Correction Factor ( bottom Left on the Fillup Screen ). What is the correction factor on your Scangauge? Mine seems to vary each Fillup from 18 to 27.6% each time if I have to adjust the amount of Fuel Used. I'm just interested what others users find, whether their correction factor has such a wide variation? |

Hi Shax,
So what was the correction factor calculated by the Scangauge, if it was only 200mls out on it's calculated usage compared to your actual usage. I don't use the Scangauge to drive economically - that's not why I bought the Defender - I'm just interested in the way this gauge works. As it takes it's information from the ECU + sensors it should remain fairly static on each vehicle , but can differ between vehicles running the same engine/electronics, UNLESS something goes belly up. |

Mines set at +10% and I don't change it. Accuracy on fill up is not as good as other vehicles I've used it on but is usually within a litre either way. Overall accuracy is more than adequate and I can rely on it for Distance to Empty. Suggest you reset it to factory fresh and try again, they can build up error over time if swapping between vehicles. Other than that try the different fuel settings ( Gas, Diesel A, B etc) |

Filled it again, reported 29.7 litres going in, and I actually put 29.7 litres in!! Not bad eh? ... ,-------, .. I [__][_]|__ .. I __ |"_|"__| .. "(o)====(o)" ^^_-^-_^-^_^^^^^--^^^^ PAUL G7ALW 14.200 USB 26FB458 / 27.275 SSB |

It also depends how you fill the vehicle.
E.G. Always keep vehicle at same angle and if possible same filling station. If you fill early morning when the fuel is cooler (n/a in the UK) as during the hot days with sun shining on the tank tops the fuel becomes more frothy I read somewhere Also depends how much the pump jockey can force in the tank. Filled up again today.... 47.3 litres put in the tank, SGII reported 47.6 was used... I think my SGII has settled quite well, the error seems to be quite consistently low after much use.. It only get disconnected and reset when the dealers pull the OBDII plug! ... ,-------, .. I [__][_]|__ .. I __ |"_|"__| ..
