Thanks for the coupon code. Just ordered. £21.12 to Germany. Still less expensive than amazon and I like that figure Wink

Let's hope they rush your order through!

Just spoke to them on the phone. The lady hadn't even realised it had been released yet. It sounds like it was shipped yesterday with no tracking number and will be with me in 'the next few days'.... not impressed!

Hello roliver

Humm Shocked not really ideal...

Also my access code to the on-line Manuals (free for 14 days) that did work...now doesn't... Exclamation
Has the demand for Defender Maintenance crashed their server... Question

Inside the Haynes Manual however is the same as it ever was...it's like stepping back to the 70's
Don't get me wrong it's still worth having, but I wish they had higher production values for the basic vehicle Manuals.

The Restoration Manual at 1/3 the Price, is an all together better piece of publishing quality, hard back cover, white gloss paper and colour photos...I have got use to this on other Haynes Manuals (they have quite a good range for cycling).

So for the Puma... you look to be back in the world of the Series Land Rovers...maybe appropriate in some way.

I'm still not seeing what all the excitement is about. Haynes manuals have been underwhelming for years.

Is there a better alternative? I would buy the LR workshop manual, in paper, if it was available, for a £100 or so, but it's not :/

Also, how can you not be exited when, after ten years, there finally is an update? Wink
Just like it feels, when Apple finally adds wireless charging to their phone - yeah...

Also, my £21.12 convert to 24.24€. I consider that a good omen Wink

just received a shipping note Smile

Rang Haynes to check on delivery of my pre order..................They can't find any record of my pre order. Don't make old people mad.

Just noted on the Haynes website that they are having their 'autumn sale' with 25% off all printed manuals. So the manual is reduced from to £22.99 to £17.24

Hats off to the company they rang back after 30 minutes to explain that they have no record either on paper or computer systems even checked the bank card I used just in case it had been associated with someone else all negative.

They took an order for the discounted price and threw in a one day delivery at no extra cost. Don't make old people mad.

Is it actually any use? Does it, for example, cover a strip and rebuild of a transfer box (which I did today) or a diff, or does it do the usual annoying Haynes thing of saying "this is too difficult for you and also needs a special tool, leave it to a grown-up!"

Back in the '70s they used to be pretty good, but now they seem to be dumbed right down, as well as being printed on paper that seems to have been recycled several times already.

^^Ditto what Blackwolf asks.

Keen to know if it is actually useful, I'm doing OK with the rip of the topix info so far, but it is annoying not having page numbers ... Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

I see there is a picture on page 1.4 of the manual which says it's the TD5 engine Rolling Eyes

...so don't have much faith in it being very good.

Agreed, they must have just used material from the older Defender manual

The picture quality and paper quality are terrible.

But I'm sure there are some useful bits.
