Thanks Bushpig,

I just don't see a sense in installation under the hood as it would be after the main filter which is 2 micron filter.
I want the Racor to be first in the line.

The racor I've fitted is also 2 micron and have yet to pick up any particles or water.
Presume the diesel quality down here is not that bad then... Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

Does anyone know what is the inner diameter of the feed and returning fuel lines between tank and fuel filter?

I have seen a few defenders down here installed a secondary fuel filter
And I am about to do the same
Its location is above the mid cross member near the fuel cooler
Check out this website
$425 comes everything you need, including a bash guard

Seems like my setup - I also have a LED in the dash for warning and there is 10 micron fuel filter before the main one.

Which fuel lines you mean ZSD-PUMA? I mean what are they made of?

Thanks chaps!

I just decided to follow my way and installed the filter under the rear fender. Will make some kind of shield there of course to protect the filter.

Using a hose bender and Tekalan (PA12) hoses made new fuel lines. Used 10/8 Tekalan hose for return and 12/9 for feed. Bought some quick release connectors that I found locally - 7,89 for the return and 9.89 for the feed line. What interesting - only on the filter base the feed line has a bigger connector. On the tank side both connectors are the same.
I didn't heat hoses up to push the connectors in - I used the silicone gun instead making a press of it. In my opinion it is much better fitment than when using heat (Tekalan doesn't return fully to its previous diameter when heated up).
I have wrapped the feed hoses with red shrinking tube and return with the black one for extra protection.

There is a three way connector on the return pipe close to the tank as I have made additional fuel tank and this is a line that feeds the main one from the additional tank.
