First time Land Rover owner, let alone Defender!
Good day Everyone,

First and foremost, I must say that this forum has been a massive help in helping me navigate the waters that is Defender so a thank you to those who have contributed. I am also quite new to all things LR and trucks/SUVs. The only 4x4 I have ever owned was a Jeep YJ back when I was living in Canada.

In short, I moved to the UK almost 3 years ago and my fascination with the Defender kept getting bigger. It was early last year that I started contemplating getting a 'toy' but was swayed by Morgan and went the route of ordering an 80th Anniversary
Edition 4/4, much to the tune of the Heritage 90. Living in Cheshire and very close to North Wales, the temptation early morning drives in the country side in the Morgan swayed me away from the 90. Yet each and every time I saw one I was grinning like a little kid.

It was about a month ago that I stumbled across this forum and started reading which only peeked my interest more and shortly after I booked myself into an hour session with the Land Rover Experience with the hopes I'd come away not liking the Defender and allow myself to move on.

I was VERY wrong. Loved it from the moment I got in. What followed was a week of searching auto trader, LR CPO site etc and came across this lovely Aintree green 90 XS. I was told that the former owner had it valeted each week and the condition shows but I do plan on getting it dirty Smile Still a tone to learn and will be posting a few questions so please be kind!

It would appear I now have two relatively new cars but both firmly planted in the past. Just hoping they get along!

At the moment, still learning so nothing just yet. I will however order a bolt replacement kit that has been discussed here and sort out getting it undersealed. The list of wishes is long but do want to enjoy it for what it is and while it's still all new to me.

It's a LR certified pre-owned and with that comes 1/2 LR Experience which I'll ensure it's in one of their Defenders and brush up on my skills or lack thereof!

One mistake I make with the Morgan was getting a lot of work done to it before even taking delivery. No regrets but could have prolonged the joy of modification if that makes sense.

Hi - welcome to the forum - it truly is an excellent place inhabited by some very helpful, friendly people.

I'm intrigued by your Morgan, I'm sure that has to be one of the few cars still in production which can rival the heritage of a Defender, although of course I use the word heritage with the stress on the 'age' part most! Whistle
Both great cars though!

Welcome to Defender ownership and Def2 Thumbs Up As a relative newbie myself, all I'd say is live with it a while before rushing into mods, but then have fun. Just get security sorted, lots on here about that if you use the search. James
