Bulkhead rust drivers side
Hi guys, any tips on how to remove this rust in the best and easiest way possible? Unfortunately i gave my door seal a squeeze (as you do) and it felt all crunchy so i lifted it up to find this...

As its not visible i was thinking about dremmeling it out with a wire brush attachment best possible then using some dinitrol rust converter then covering in dinitrol wax.

Thoughts?

Where is the water getting in Windscreen rubber or door seal ? That's the first thing that needs sorting, Then all rust sanded back before treatment then repainted and job done ,
Just trying to apply a rust treatment is a waste of time and money

Its coming i from an ill fitting door seal but i dont want to do one job without the other if you get me, no point in fitting a new door seal and filling it up with rusty bits. As you mention sanding this is ideally what i'd want to do but what concerns me is that some areas are where 2 or 3 bits of metal are sandwiched together so sanding between these layers is basically impossible, this is why was thinking a dremmel with a rotary wire brush attachement seems like my best bet....

Clean the rust off the surface and as much as you can, paint the laminated sections wont rust any further one you have remove two of the things that cause rust,
oxygen and H2O
