Oh dear. Four words spring to mind. Fool, money, easily, parted.

Presumably there must be a market though.

If I had that sort of money to spend, I'd search the country for a mint early 80", keep my existing Defender and put a deposit down for the Defender replacement as soon as it is announced. Thinking about it, at the asking price, I could probably build the garage to park them all in as well Laughing

What an absolute sack of Censored .

I wouldn't pay him £20k. There's nothing on that thing that I'd spanner off and have for myself.

Vulgar. It's still got the awful diesel in too Laughing Laughing Laughing

I bet most on here would be keen to spanner those gear and tranny lever knobs off. Whistle
Oh wait, no. It has been said on here that those SVX knobs give freezing hands in winter. Rolling Eyes
So indeed nothing to spanner off. Laughing
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

You made me think again Eric, so I had another look at it. Still nothing.

I did notice the big stupid mudflap brackets.....with holes for exhausts.....but only one exhaust.

It's like a bad drag queen.

I think you lot are being far too picky - I'd have the front doors, rear safari door & swing away spare wheel carrier off it plus the stereo Laughing

I find it very odd that they only did the rev counter in red? Surely if you're going to go to the trouble of replacing that decal you would at least make it look hideous symmetrically? Matt.

The inside looks like a ride at Alton Towers and the outside is a steroid induced homage to a Santana. Different strokes for different folks, but its not my mug of brew.

Hang on. I live in Essex.

A long way from Romford, as it happens.

Up here we consider anything south of Chelmsford as London.

If it was parked by the side of the road up here, some peasant would run over it with a tractor.

Accidentally of course......
