My Recaro seats where supplied with the same base. Did you also get them from ET Coevorden?

I kept my Mudstuff seat rails and the combination is very comfortable.

No got them when I Ordered my Defender. I'm now only looking at the angle and how to get a little more room at the back but think that is impossible Smile Thanks for the image, as you can see I switched my seats (left, right) so i can adjust seat while driving and set temperature. Very comfortable seats btw.

Recaros should mount on the original Land Rover seat runners with the right subframe adapters. Here are mine mounted on Mud rails.

Speak to Alive Tuning, Twisted Performance, or TMD Land Rover to get the right subframes.

I know i am diggin up an old post, but was the base of these recaros originally removable, or did you create the removable base?

I found Recaros for Renault Clio/ Ford RS relatively cheep, and the one point stopping me is the non removable base. But there is no way i am paying more than 1000 pounds for a pair of seats...

I have some awesome fabricators and machinists, is it just a matter of creating the needed bolts and bushings to hold the base in place?

My understanding is that the Recaro Cross Sportster (or 'CS' - I think they're the same?) is designed for 4x4s, hence the lower seat base edge bolsters and the fact that they have detached bases, not a one piece bucket.
