I pass the house of an identical motor to mine in the same colour and finally got the courage to see if a bonnet swap might be in order, the long drive had some racing cars which I thought was a good sign for some reason! As I finally made the long walk down the drive and seen the car for the first time in all its glory yep you guessed it same bonnet

Going to see a body shop next week to see if he can sort the removal and respray of the bonnet so last call!!!!

Got a silly price for the removal/repair and respray of the bonnet so it looks like I'll be keeping until someone wants the swap.

I think you both have the same amount (a whole lot) of checkerplate on your same colour bonnets. That would be the perfect like for like swap.

Just over £500

I'm not saying that is expensive for the work involved but it's very expensive for just a cosmetic change for me! It looks like a lot of time and effort repairing the welds to the bonnet, that would before paint so I'm sure the price is normal.

I've actually had quite a lot of nice comments about the bonnet lately which makes me feel ok about leaving it on.
