It most certainly is plenty haha. cant beat a classic mini though. and even with 34bhp i bet travelling at 30mph felt like 60 haha. I love being a passenger in my future mother in laws classic mini (1999) but she has only ever had classic minis since she could drive. Thats the classic in the family. 1275 John Cooper Mini Click image to enlarge 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |

Beautiful example of a Classic. Looks to have had a fair bit of money spent on it. Our classic is Called Roxie. And my JCW is called George lol 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |

That looks VERY nice. But I would've liked a better image of your engine which, from what I could see, looked absolutely pristine. Any extra instruments?,...I always liked a Smiths Tacho & a few extra Smiths Guages,..I'd actually put a few in our Puma if I could work out a nice place to put 'em! Pickles. |

There is a LOT going on with that engine!!! I dabbled with Mini's as my first cars... is that a 2" SU? A friend fitted a Weber 40 DCOE to his on that convoluted intake manifold as he reckoned any SU was not enough! Come on, can we have details of what you did to that engine please! Great colour BTW... what did you do with it in the end? YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Looks good to me MetalMatt.. Did you put a through centre pipe on?
Thanks Yolo.. it was just standard 1 3/4" SU IIRC.. SS exhaust and lots of polishing and shiny bits.. went well though oh and I sold it to the plumber who fitted my new boiler 1993 200Tdi Defender 90 |

A friend of mine put a Weber 40DCOE on his highly modded 1380cc Mini with a swan neck inlet manifold. Then he read in a magazine the shape of the manifold meant the Weber was no better than the SU. Next time he picked me up in it he'd moved the speedo and made a box in which Weber sat. The induction noise was deafening! But he could spin the wheels in 3rd, and broke 3 gearboxes. |

That would be correct SS centre pipe. in time i will be doing a side exit out of the rear of the tub but for ease and getting the 90 running i just went with the standard rear tail pipe set up. I also started on putting the wiring and lights into the first wing ready to put it on to the 90. Also put the Front grill back on and rested it on the front of the radiator to see how it looks Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |

Great video. The guy with the Terrano/Maverick did well considering there isn't a low box in those vehilces (AFAIK). Bangin' toonz too. I think your have a go attitude is great, that's what having a defender is all about! |

Glad you like the video , TBH i havent a clue if the tarrano/maverick has a low box but he kept saying his was the better 4x4 which we all laughed at. My motivation and momentum has come to a stand still at the moment with getting the 90 finished. Which is a shame as its so close to being complete. I think its partly due to the fact that i have been busy most weekends since august and havent had the time to actually do any work on it. 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |

Not much of an update on the 90 as i havent done anything to it for a few weeks now.
Now i am aware am going off topic with the next part but its Car related and everyone loves Minis So i thought i would show some pictures from a recent camping trip in the Yorkshire Dales with the Mini Club. Firstly i shall get the embarrassing photos out of the way and show how once selling my land rover i park on a little bit of grass and get stuck, It doesnt look bad but it took 3 people to push the car out of its ruts it made.
