We have been there a few times, the last was in April for Drive it Day. The 110 Fire Engine is very nice body wise but the chassis is totally rotten and needs a new one. The museum is well worth a visit if you are in the area.

I can second that recommendation. Excellent collection of vehicles and memorabilia. If you are into motorcycles, there are some belters - and I'm not just referring to the final drive! Rolling with laughter

I've been driving past it for many years and often wondered if it was worth a visit - it used to be at Keswick from memory, and I was told they just had Del Boy's car and the Batmobile... kind of put me off.

When I went to the one in Keswick (many years ago), the owner was a miserable so and so.

I went to the one I Keswick many many moons ago, but if memory serves it was called "The Cars the Star" and was basically props from well known TV shows and movies.

Lakes Motor Museum is a proper timeline of motoring. We'll worth a visit. Think they still offer a joint ticket with the cruise company on the lake if you want a longer day out 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone
2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone
2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW

Yes sorry, I meant the 'Cars of the Stars' place. Embarassed

No disrespect meant to the Lakeland Motor Museum. Thumbs Up

I shall be looking in there myself next time I'm up there.

Interesting "Layer of Security" seen on front seat of this exhibit. Forget the pedal locks etc and invest in one of these courtesy of General John T Thompson Thumbs Up

In it's day ~ hard to believe this is real and not from the set of a film like "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen":

It looks other worldly now, a great pic. It must have had an extraordinary impact at the time, especially to young petrol heads. Not sure a teenager today can get that excited about the latest Tesla...
