Max tyre size standard white steels?

So after getting some free refurbished standard white steels , I'm just wondering rather than replacing them with alloys what's the biggest / chunkiest tyre size they take ? Are they 5.5 X 16 steels could I put a spacer in to bring um out a bit??

i take you have 205 x 80 x 16 now




7.50 x 16

You do occasionally see people with 235/85s on them, however that's not really correct. That said a lot of things in life aren't really correct.
