I have the Mantec ones, discrete, very strong(saved me a few times) and they'll stop your doors getting scratched/dented in the car park

I left mine the galvanised colour as they do get used from time to time, as the black would not be black in places

Fitting R + T sliders is one of the first modification we do. They are good off road and are equally as useful on road.
They have saved our vehicles from serious damage both on and off road. There are many suppliers of them. Our recommendation is to get some which are hot dipped galvanised before being coated. Brendan |

I should finally get around to fitting mine this weekend, I went for the tree slider type.
Other items to note when buying them: Adds a layer of protection in a side impact if you were unfortunate enough to get T boned (hopefully not!) Tree slider bars, stop dimwit's opening car doors into you while parked up 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW 1956 Series 1 Hard-top 1958 Series 1 Soft-top |

Which ones are these? Seen them a few times now, but no idea where to get them. I like the idea of having the nerf bar a bit lower, makes it usable as a step!! |

Invaluable if you got a rack for walking around the sides to check load etc.
For me I can check the tent is packed into the sides correctly |

i think I'm convinced already
that is a major plus point for car door damage and they look as though they have always been there which is the standard type of look i am going for  2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8

I fitted rock sliders to my 90 and am very pleased with them and the protection they give. Only problem is SWMBO is not best pleased as she struggles to get in and out without the original step, I have had to buy a collapsible step for her to use but she is still not happy

I fitted a set to my 110 and they are a huge comfort in car parks! The flat doors of the Defender seem to me to be dent magnets in car parts, and I am pleased to say that in 10 years mine has not yet received any door dings to its doors. There are several door dings to the sliders, however, and I am sure that my doors would be a state without them.
I can honestly say that they've never stopped rock or tree damage (I avoid that through careful driving), but as door-ding-defenders they are unbeatable! |
