Recommendations for Grassington/Skipton area
Myself and the better half have a few nights away in Grassington this weekend, Friday/Saturday.

We are booked in at a nice bed and breakfast, have a meal booked for the Saturday night but we're wondering if anyone could recommend any other activities to do, any nice places to visit, as we are only up for a few days we'd like to make the most of it.

Also some nice scenic drives/ mild green lanes would be good.

Chris

Drive up through Kettlewell to Buckden then turn off up Langstrothdale. After you've climbed steeply up the hill out of Oughtershaw, Cam High Raod (BOAT) bears off to your right. This takes you over into Wensleydale near Semerwater.

If you go round Semerwater towards Stalling Busks there's then another BOAT which takes you back over to Cray, then back down the Wharefedale road to Grassington.

Lots of tea shops/touristy things to do en route and an easy off road drive Smile

You've beaten me to it Piglet. That is just what I was going to suggest but if you do it the other way round after doing cam high road you could turn right and drop down into Gayle and Hawes and visit the Wensleydale cheese factory. More cheese Grommet.
Regards
Barbara
