Steam Railway at Embsay. Malham cove and Tarn. Goredale scar and Janet's Foss all of these are worth seeing. I have only walked not green laned in that area. 1995 Defender 110 CSW

Drive up through Kettlewell to Buckden then turn off up Langstrothdale. After you've climbed steeply up the hill out of Oughtershaw, Cam High Raod (BOAT) bears off to your right. This takes you over into Wensleydale near Semerwater.
If you go round Semerwater towards Stalling Busks there's then another BOAT which takes you back over to Cray, then back down the Wharefedale road to Grassington. Lots of tea shops/touristy things to do en route and an easy off road drive |

You've beaten me to it Piglet. That is just what I was going to suggest but if you do it the other way round after doing cam high road you could turn right and drop down into Gayle and Hawes and visit the Wensleydale cheese factory. More cheese Grommet.
